Past simple (called) ควรใช้ให้สอดคล้องกับ “arrived” ที่เป็นอดีต

2. Gerund vs Infinitive, Participles

จุดที่ออกสอบ: คำกริยาที่ต้องตามด้วย gerund (-ing) หรือ infinitive (to + V1) และการใช้ participle อย่างถูกต้อง

ตัวอย่างข้อสอบ:
I enjoyed to read (A) novels when I was young, but now I prefer watching (B) documentaries to reading (C) fiction.

Enjoy ต้องตามด้วย gerund (reading) ไม่ใช่ infinitive

3. Voices (Active vs Passive Voice)

จุดที่ออกสอบ: การแปลงประโยคจาก Active เป็น Passive และการเลือกใช้ให้เหมาะสม

ตัวอย่างข้อสอบ:
The new policy has announced (A) by the principal during the morning assembly.

เฉลย: (A) has announced → has been announced
Passive voice ต้องใช้ “has been announced” ไม่ใช่ “has announced”

4. Determiner (a, an, the, this, that, these, those)

จุดที่ออกสอบ: การเลือกใช้ articles (a, an, the) และคำชี้เฉพาะให้ถูกต้อง

ตัวอย่างข้อสอบ:
She adopted a (A) adorable kitten from the shelter yesterday, and a (B) kitten has been adjusting well to its new home.

เฉลย: (B) a → the
ใช้ “the kitten” เพราะกล่าวถึงตัวเดิมที่พูดถึงก่อนหน้า

5. Quantifier (many, much, some, any, few, little, a lot of, plenty of)

จุดที่ออกสอบ: การใช้ Quantifier กับนามนับได้/นับไม่ได้

ตัวอย่างข้อสอบ:
There isn’t many (A) sugar left in the jar, so we need to buy some (B) more before making the cake.

เฉลย: (A) many → much
Sugar เป็นนามนับไม่ได้ ต้องใช้ “much”

6. Subject-Verb Agreement

จุดที่ออกสอบ: กริยาต้องสอดคล้องกับประธาน

Neither of the answers are (A) correct, so the teacher asked us to think again.

เฉลย: (A) are → is
Neither of ถือเป็นเอกพจน์ ต้องใช้ is

7. Reported Speech

จุดที่ออกสอบ: การเปลี่ยน direct speech เป็น reported speech

ตัวอย่างข้อสอบ:
Lisa said, “I am going (A) to visit Paris next month.” → Lisa said that she is going (B) to visit Paris the following month (C).

เฉลย: (B) is going → was going
เมื่อแปลงเป็น reported speech กริยาต้องถอยเป็น past tense

8. If-Clause + Wishes

จุดที่ออกสอบ: การใช้ If-Clause ประเภทต่าง ๆ และการใช้ wish ให้ถูกต้อง

ตัวอย่างข้อสอบ:
If I have (A) more time, I would have helped (B) you with your homework.

เฉลย: (A) have → had
If-Clause แบบที่ 3 ต้องใช้ “If I had” + “would have helped”

9. Parallelism

จุดที่ออกสอบ: โครงสร้างต้องมีรูปแบบสอดคล้องกัน

ตัวอย่างข้อสอบ:
He enjoys reading books, to play (A) the guitar, and watching movies (B).

เฉลย: (A) to play → playing
ต้องใช้ “reading, playing, watching” ให้เป็น gerund ทั้งหมด

10. Inversion

จุดที่ออกสอบ: การกลับลำดับประโยคในภาษาทางการ

ตัวอย่างข้อสอบ:
Rarely he goes (A) to the gym, but when he does, he works out for hours.

เฉลย: (A) Rarely he goes → Rarely does he go
เมื่อนำคำบอกปริมาณเช่น Rarely, Seldom, Never ขึ้นต้น ต้องกลับประโยคเป็น “Rarely does he go”

11. การใช้ other/the other/another

จุดที่ออกสอบ: การใช้ other, the other, another ให้ถูกต้อง

ตัวอย่างข้อสอบ:
I have two pens; one is blue, and another (A) is black.

เฉลย: (A) another → the other
“the other” ใช้เมื่อมี 2 สิ่ง และต้องการกล่าวถึงสิ่งที่เหลืออยู่
